Yes this is a black limestone, not a slate although they look similar. There is some shade difference but it is slight in this Indian stone. When wet it is pure black, although it does fade to a dark grey in time, returning to black as the rain arrives. This is a “stand out, make a statement” stone. It is calibrated and comes in widths of 600mm.
