About Copings

From a 'finishing off' aspect, most walls look better if they have a coping. This is just a final course to the wall which leaves the top even and finished. Coping is produced, generally, to slightly overhang the wall so that water drips off and does not run down the wall it'self. The coping can be Apex, ie pointed to the centre, flat with square edges, flat with bullnosed edges, Hogsback, as id an upturned 'D' shape or shaped in any other way. In fact copings are very variable.
